This Aston Martin Vantage is 1 of 72 built of this type and according to AML's records was the 1972 Earls Court Motor Show exhibition car.
After David Brown had to sell the company, the new owners wanted the abbreviation "DB" to disappear and instead used the designation "Vantage" for the last vehicles equipped with the 6 cylinder, as the new 8 cylinder was not yet ready. Thus, this original stopgap is now a rare collector's item.
This Vantage has always been treated properly, as evidenced by two folders full of invoices, a complete list of all service work carried out and photos of a major restoration in 2009.
The car was in England until 2009 and was then imported to Austria by the current owner and became part of his collection here. Regular maintenance and TÜV/§57a is also provable here. Original instruction book available.
The engine and gearbox run and shift perfectly. The other technology and electrics are also in good order. The paintwork and interior are in good condition and benefit from a professional reconditioning. Some paint defects are documented by photos. On the bottom of the doors and on the right wing, the paint knife brings evidence of putty.
The Vantage has Austrian papers and is looking forward to a lover and connoisseur who appreciates the throaty sound and exclusivity of this car. Speedometer data in miles.
